Samu truly believes that each one of us has the innate capability to strive and thrive through difficult times. You will begin counselling by creating a trusting and safe relationship, and Samu will walk alongside you during your healing journey. She aims to ensure that you feel heard, seen, understood, and accepted. Samu will offer guidance and support, while you take the lead, walk the path at your own pace, and figure out what you need.
Samu moved to Vancouver to pursue her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, after she realized the passion she had for the field while working in India for an Employee Assistance Program. Samu is fortunate to have two degrees – the first is a Master’s in Health Psychology from the University of Hyderabad, India and the second is a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Adler University, Vancouver, BC.
Her general approach uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) combined with a trauma-centered framework. Samu offers individual counselling to a wide range of people, and will help you attain the clarity, growth, and healing that you seek. Samu also enjoys helping people with their relationship challenges, and I specialize in couples counselling.
