It’s such an eye opening change too, it takes so much longer to eat but I find I can truly enjoy my food and my elimination process is smoother when I chew more per bite.

Keep searching. If you have friends who use protein powders, ask them to sample theirs instead of buying a huge tub that you won’t end up liking. I can bring you some of mine if you’d like 🙂

Ooh that’s a lot of powder to get 18 grams! But if it doesn’t change the texture, then who cares haha. That’s a tough thing to look for in a protein powder 😛

For me, mindful eating is planning in advance what I’m going to eat (before I’m hungry and staring in the fridge or pantry trying to decide what I can quickly make). In terms of #1-7 listed above, I am definitely NOT a mindful eater and could use inprovement in all areas. The one I would like to focus on is taking smaller bites, and chewing thoroughly. I’m so used to having to eat quickly that it’s engrained in me, even on my days off work.

Goal #1 eating without a screen!
I am a mindless scroller when I am eating or snacking. It feels like I use this time as an excuse to scroll, haha. I love food, but definitely this habit doesn’t allow me to track my portions sizes leading to me eating more than I would like to. I am also not able to connect to my body and feel when I am getting full. I don’t get to enjoy the experience of nourishing my body or appreciate it.

It would be great to make eating a time to pause and check in with myself and my surroundings. Maybe a time to just breathe and reset as well. My mid day snack, after a class or when I get home feels like the right time to try this.

Yes, I always wash my produce because I’m a huge germaphobe. I was surprised to see that mushrooms made the “clean” list… Sadly, most of my favourites are on the “dirty” list.

I wash sometimes 🙈 ahhh
But now I will forever soak, scrub, and wash my produce! This is crazy!
