Thank you for the list of mindful eating habits! Very helpful. I do reasonably well with 1 thru 5 but skip meals too often and don’t give enough consideration to the long term effects. All 7 of these mindful acts resonate for me, I intend to incorporate all of them 🙂

I often don’t notice I’m hungry until i’m ‘hangry’ and have limited patience or feel fatigued and a bit weak. When I let the hunger get to this point I can tend to eat whatever is available quickly which is a bad solution. If I pay closer attention I can feel that my stomach seems empty and ready for a meal.

I have a new plan of brushing my teeth by 8pm which will deter me from eating anything after as I often will seek a quick snack between dinner and bed. I would like to enhance my pre-sleep ritual to add stretching. I am very fortunate that I fall asleep quite quickly and tend to stay asleep but it took trying different things to find what works. Currently I use a meditation/sleep app to listen to calming sounds and spray lavendar above my pillows.

I’ve never ever counted calories and am unlikely to start. Right now I’m of the mindset of adding more produce, natural, organic foods to my daily intake and reducing breads and desserts which tend to be my comfort foods.

I have definitely been stuck in the all or nothing mind set! Thankfully I am on a new path with a healthier mindset, trying not to be too hard on myself, looking to learn from success, celebrate the wins! The article and Dial Method resonates with me.

I’m hoping to re-ignite my love of outdoor activities and regular workouts and get into healthier eating habits. I want to eat a healthier breakfast, make better snack choices, reduce sweets and eat dinner earlier in the evening.
