I have always wanted to feel good in my body and reduce the health risks that I a genetically predisposed to; especially after this last year.

Being injured right now, I have really have to play with some dials and focus on other things and I’m seeing different results than I expected. I miss my workouts, they are my mental health too, but other things are also important.

This video also reminded me of a picture I saw today. It was a side by side of a body builder who spent 6 months restricting food and the next one was 1 week of not. It was shocking!!

I’m trying to drink more water, some days it’s easier to remember than others 🫤

I have been really trying to monitor my busy cues and being mindful of eating so that I do don’t over eat. I have also started taking a small portion and then going for me if I need, but really checking in if I do need more food before I take.

My stomach definitely grumbles when I’m hungry. I’ve also noticed that I get headaches if it’s been too long since I’ve eaten. Being at a busy job, it’s easy to ignore body cues that let us know you are hungry. I’m working on reading my body more and paying attention to these cues before I get hangry.

I also need to slow down at enjoy my meals – usually at work I go for a walk and then eat after (in a short time) and because I’m injured I haven’t been walking and eating with co-workers. I am finding I am eating slower and am less hungry at the end of the day 🤔

I always wash my produce – but will do a more thorough job on all fruits/veggies.
