Massage Therapy

How Does Massage Therapy Work?

Working our RMTs here at Restore Rehabilitation and Wellness you’ll have a wide variety of massage treatments, including myofascial release, soft tissue rehab, pre and post pregnancy massage, trigger point therapy, as well as Swedish massage.

Our RMTs also have a wide variety of knowledge when it comes to movement, so can provide you with guidance on how to maintain better health through at-home exercises, stretching, and postural awareness.

What to Expect at Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is manual manipulation of soft body tissues (muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments) to enhance a person’s health and well-being. There are dozens of types of massage therapy methods (also called modalities).

If it’s your first time visiting Restore Rehabilitation and Wellness to see one of our RMTs, you’ll go through a detailed health initial interview and body evaluation followed by a massage therapy session.

This initial session will take 60 minutes to complete, giving your RMT ample time to understand where and how to effectively treat you, then work on your muscles, tendons and ligaments in the targeted area.

All of our RMTs are accepting new patients, as well as any ICBC patients. Book with one of our RMTs today!
