Rachel D’Silva
Registered Clinical Counsellor (MCP, RCC)
Rachel D’Silva (MCP, RCC) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. They have a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Adler University. They are trained in Existential, Humanistic, Person Centred, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. They are also certified in Trauma Informed Yoga and use a Trauma Informed lens when working with their clients.
Rachel’s style of counselling includes focusing on creating a safe space, both within the counselling room and more importantly within the client. They also emphasize on the connection between the client and themselves. They believe “It is the relationship that heals” (Irvin Yalom).
Rachel works with a variety of psychological concerns like trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, burnout, grief, meaninglessness/ purposelessness, death anxiety, and boundary setting. Their specialty lies in working with survivors of trauma and clients belonging to the LGBTQ+ community.
Rachel’s passion is to facilitate holistic healing for their clients. This would include working with the mind, the body, and the spirit.
