Woman Adjusting Her Neck With The Help Of A Man

Why Sports Chiropractic is the right treatment for YOU!

When talking with people about what I do, I often hear some of these comments about chiropractors:

1.       I would see a chiropractor but I’m scared of having my bones cracked
2.       I saw a chiropractor and they cracked my neck and it scared me!

When most people see the word Chiropractor, they think the traditional back and neck “cracking”. We call this chiropractic manipulation or “the adjustment”. Traditional chiropractic was solely directed to the spine, as the spine bones (vertebrae) surround and protect the spinal cord and impact the function of the nervous system. This is a vital component to treatment, and chiropractors have extensive experience in this. The purpose of chiropractic  manipulation is to improve motion in joints, decrease pain, and improve the function of the nervous system.
What a lot of people don’t know, is that Chiropractors often have additional training in other services to help patients with their aches and injuries, not just the chiropractic manipulation. It is important to find a chiropractor that you are comfortable with and can perform a variety of services to best suit your health needs.

Here are some of the additional services that I am trained in and offer:

Joint mobilizations

I use a technique called Mobilization with Movement that can dramatically increase how well you move without pain in a very short time. The best part? We’ll show you how you can perform similar techniques at home to stay feeling good longer!

Manual Therapy:

  • Active Release Technique ® (ART)
  • Instrument-assisted soft tissue manipulation (IASTM)
  • Cupping
  • Massage techniques

Active rehabilitation

  • Injury-specific
  • For performance
  • Core stability
  • Low back strength and endurance
  • And much more

Movement assessments

  • Sport-specific
  • For general wellness

I am a Chiropractor with a Sports Medicine background and have additional training in:

  • Muscle and ligament injuries
  • Extremity conditions (ie: elbow tendinitis, rotator cuff strain, meniscal tear, ankle sprain, etc.)
  • Sport-specific injury care and management
  • Performance care
  • Active rehabilitation strategies

As you can see, this dynamic skill-set combined with extensive experience expands beyond the spine! Whether you are dealing with a new problem, something more chronic, or are looking for general relief, book a FREE consult with me to discuss if a Sports Chiropractic Doctor is right for you!

We believe in educating our patients and providing them with the tools to achieve long-term success in health and wellness.
